Back Office Advisors is spearheaded by CPA and CFO Al Davidson. Originally from New York, Al started the company in 2004 when he relocated to Denver, CO. With more than 30 years of experience in accounting, tax, management, and small business ownership, Al has amassed a wealth of knowledge that directly benefits his clients who are typically small- and medium-sized businesses.

A graduate of the University of North Caroline at Charlotte, Al began his tax career at Nixon Peabody LLP, a New York law firm. Later, Al worked for a large regional accounting firm and then as a Controller and CFO with several privately held companies prior to starting Back Office Advisors. Back Office Advisors is a privately held company under the Davidson Consultancy umbrella alongside Al Davidson, Jr. CPA, P.C. in New York, and Pro Trader Tax  where he serves as an expert tax advisor to active stock, futures, and forex traders and long-term investors. Al created the business trader self-test to help traders determine if they meet the stringent IRS business trader status requirements, as there are many benefits to having this designation.

In addition to Al’s expertise, the Back Office Advisors team consists of accounting and bookkeeping specialists, CPAs, and financial analysts who all support our small- and medium-sized business clients.
